  • 2 tbsp Smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Fennel seeds

  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp Dried parsley
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 cup Low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp Avocado oil
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Liquid smoke

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together vital wheat gluten, smoked paprika, garlic powder, fennel seeds, sea salt, onion powder, dried oregano, parsley, black pepper, and chili flakes.
  3. In another bowl, mix vegetable broth, tomato paste, avocado oil, soy sauce, and liquid smoke until smooth.
  4. Gradually combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until it forms a dough; knead lightly for about 2 minutes.
  5. Shape the dough into an 8-inch log and wrap in aluminum foil.
  6. Bake on the prepared baking sheet for 40 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing.
