- 2 tbsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Fennel seeds
- 1 tsp Sea salt
- 1 tbsp Onion powder

- 1 tbsp Dried parsley
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 1 tsp Chili flakes
- 1 cup Low-sodium vegetable broth
- 2 tbsp Tomato paste
- 2 tbsp Avocado oil
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tsp Liquid smoke
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together vital wheat gluten, smoked paprika, garlic powder, fennel seeds, sea salt, onion powder, dried oregano, parsley, black pepper, and chili flakes.
- In another bowl, mix vegetable broth, tomato paste, avocado oil, soy sauce, and liquid smoke until smooth.
- Gradually combine the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until it forms a dough; knead lightly for about 2 minutes.
- Shape the dough into an 8-inch log and wrap in aluminum foil.
- Bake on the prepared baking sheet for 40 minutes. Allow to cool before slicing.
