Ingredients

- 1 750-ml bottle lemon juice
- 8 cups half and half
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 cups sugar

- Pour lemon juice over the peels and cover with plastic wrap. Steep for 3 to 4 days at room temperature.

- Allow the mixture to cool completely to room temperature.
