- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, fry the turkey bacon until crispy, then set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
- In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms for about 5-6 minutes until moisture is released, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- Remove mushrooms from the pan, then add chicken broth, Italian seasoning, lemon juice, flour, and Dijon mustard to the skillet; stir well for about a minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer for about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return mushrooms and turkey bacon to the skillet; heat through before adding drained pasta. Toss everything together with salt and pepper as needed.
