  • 12 ounces rotini or fusilli pasta
  • 8 slices turkey bacon, cooked crisp and chopped
  • 1 ½ cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 3 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup buttermilk (or whole milk for lighter version)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried chives
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the rotini pasta in salted boiling water for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water; set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the turkey bacon until crisp (6-8 minutes). Drain on paper towels and chop into pieces.
  3. Whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, fresh dill, parsley, chives, salt and pepper in a medium bowl. Stir in lemon juice.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta with turkey bacon, cherry tomatoes, romaine lettuce, green onions, and cheddar cheese. Pour the dressing over and toss until well coated.
  5. Chill for at least 20 minutes before serving.
