  • 3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons buttermilk

  • 1 to 1 1/4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Coarse or turbinado sugar, for sprinkling
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, lemon zest, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Grate cold butter into the mixture and toss gently.
  4. Fold in blueberries.
  5. Add buttermilk and lemon juice; stir until combined without overmixing.
  6. Turn dough onto a floured surface and shape it into a rectangle about 15 x 3 inches.
  7. Cut into triangular wedges and place on the baking sheet.
