  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Fold in the Swiss cheese and crumbled turkey bacon until evenly distributed.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape into a loaf.
  5. In a small bowl, mix ketchup and brown sugar for the topping; spread over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
