  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 ¼ cups (439 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups (255 g) dark chocolate (coarsely chopped or chips)
  • Sea salt flakes for the tops (optional)
  • 1 batch 5-Minute Hard Caramel

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the hard caramel according to your recipe and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together room temperature butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Mix in eggs one at a time and then add real vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and sea salt; gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  6. Gently fold in dark chocolate pieces and cooled hard caramel.
