  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
  • 2 medium apples (peeled and diced)

Instructions

  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices together.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in sour cream and vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just blended. Gently fold in diced apples.
  5. Layer half the batter in the pan, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mix, add remaining batter, and top with more cinnamon-sugar. Swirl lightly with a knife.
