- 8 cups water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 black tea bags (or 6 teaspoons loose leaf black tea)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, heat 1 cup of water and sugar over medium heat until dissolved. Add sliced strawberries and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl to extract syrup; discard pulp and let cool.
