  • 1 cup fresh strawberries
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast; let it sit until foamy.
  2. Combine flour and salt in another bowl.
  3. Add melted butter, egg, and yeast mixture to flour; mix well and knead until smooth (5-7 minutes).
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for about 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Prepare cheesecake filling by beating cream cheese with sugar and vanilla; fold in chopped strawberries and jam.
  6. Roll out dough into a rectangle, spread cheesecake filling, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture, roll tightly.
  7. Cut into equal pieces, place in a greased dish, cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Make cream cheese glaze while rolls bake; drizzle over warm rolls before serving.
