  • ⅓ tsp baking soda

  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chicken sparkling grape juice
  • 5 egg whites
  • 10 oz granulated sugar (for buttercream)
  • 15 oz butter (cold)
  • ½ cup strawberry puree
  • Red or pink food gel coloring
  • White and gold sprinkles
  • Strawberries
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Fresh flowers

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and fold in chicken sparkling grape juice gently.
  5. Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 30–40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Cool cakes in pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
  7. For the buttercream, beat egg whites and gradually add sugar until stiff peaks form. Slowly mix in cold butter, then add strawberry puree and desired food coloring.
  8. After cooling completely, frost one layer with buttercream before placing the second layer on top. Frost the entire cake and decorate as desired.
