Ingredients

  • 1 bunch parsley (chopped)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 4 tablespoons psyllium husks (or one large egg)
  • 4 tablespoons nutritional yeast flakes
  • 2 bell peppers (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup flour (chickpea flour recommended)
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon spicy paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
  • Sea salt and ground pepper (to taste)
  • Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Cook the lentils in water for about 15 minutes; strain well.
  2. Mash the cooked lentils in a large bowl until desired consistency is achieved.
  3. Mix in all other ingredients until sticky; adjust with additional flour if needed.
  4. Shape into patties and fry in a lightly oiled non-stick pan until golden brown on both sides.
