  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • Cinnamon-sugar mixture (1/3 cup granulated sugar + 1 and 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a stand mixer or large bowl, beat softened butter until smooth. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar; mix until light and fluffy.
  3. Incorporate eggs and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually mix in flour, baking soda, kosher salt, and cream of tartar until just combined.
  5. Shape dough into balls (about 1.5 to 2 inches) using a cookie scoop or spoon.
  6. Roll cookie balls in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
  7. Place on lined baking sheets about two inches apart and bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are set but centers remain shiny.
  8. Gently reshape cookies immediately after removing from the oven if needed.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
