  • 1 cup flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup dark corn syrup
  • ¼ cup salted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups pecans (whole or chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. For the crust: In a bowl, mix softened butter, flour, and sugar until crumbly. Press into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Bake crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. For the filling: In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar and corn syrup until smooth. Add melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt; mix well. Fold in pecans.
  5. Pour filling over baked crust and return to oven for another 30 minutes until set.
  6. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
