Ingredients
- 1 small head of cabbage (cut into thick slices)
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1 small onion (finely chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 egg (optional, for binding)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Brush both sides of cabbage slices with olive oil and place them on the baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix ground meat, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg until combined.
- Shape the meat mixture into patties and press onto each cabbage slice.
- Bake for about 25 minutes; remove from oven and sprinkle cheese on top. Broil for an additional 3–5 minutes until cheese is melted.
