  • 80 grams butter

  • 150 grams sugar (for filling)
  • 100 grams all-purpose flour (for filling)
  • 2 large eggs (for filling)
  • 180 grams butter (for filling)
  • Icing sugar for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch round baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs with sugar until fluffy. Gradually add melted butter, water, and milk while mixing. Combine dry ingredients gently.
  3. Pour batter into the baking pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. For the creamy filling, heat milk and sugar in a saucepan until dissolved. In another bowl, whisk flour and eggs then add to the saucepan, stirring constantly until thickened. Cool slightly.
  5. Once cooled, slice each cake layer horizontally if desired, spread creamy filling between layers, and dust with icing sugar before serving.
