Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper. Press into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake the meatloaf for 20 minutes.
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour; gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk until thickened. Add seasonings and 1½ cups cheese until melted.
- Mix cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce. Pour over the meatloaf; sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly.
