  • 16 oz ground beef (85/15)
  • 16 oz Italian sausage
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 14 oz pizza sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup Italian cheese blend
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, eggs, salt, pepper, onion powder, and Parmesan cheese until just mixed.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs and sear in a frying pan over high heat until browned on all sides.
  4. In the same pan, add tomato paste and cook briefly before adding pizza sauce and Italian cheese blend; stir to combine.
  5. Return meatballs to the pan and coat with sauce.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish, top with shredded mozzarella cheese, and bake uncovered for about 20 minutes until cooked through.
