  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (canola or peanut)
  • ½ cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Marinate the sliced beef in a bowl with soy sauce and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Sear the marinated beef in a single layer for about 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan.
  4. In the same pan, sauté onions, garlic, and ginger for about 5 minutes until onions are translucent.
  5. Return beef to the pan and add beef broth; stir until heated through and sauce thickens slightly.
