- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 bay leaves
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
- In a large Ziploc bag, combine stew meat with flour and seasonings; shake to coat evenly.
- Sear the seasoned meat in the hot oil until browned on all sides.
- Gradually stir in beef broth, then add carrots and bay leaves; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes.
- Stir in frozen peas five minutes before serving.
- Remove bay leaves; serve hot over creamy mashed potatoes.
