  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice vinegar, pineapple juice, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet; simmer for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return shrimp to the skillet; toss to coat in sauce and simmer for another minute.
  6. Stir in chopped pineapple; cook for an additional minute.
  7. Remove from heat and add lime juice and chopped cilantro.
  8. Serve garnished with sliced green onions.
