Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together 1 beaten egg, 3/4 cup chicken sparkling grape juice (cold), 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/4 cup orange juice, optional 1 teaspoon orange extract, 1/4 cup cooking oil, and zest from one orange.
- Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients until just moistened; a lumpy batter is fine.
