  • 5 tablespoons olive oil (2 for dough + 3 for topping)
  • 1 ¾ cups warm water (about 110°F)
  • 3 cloves garlic (finely minced)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Flaky sea salt for sprinkling
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and instant yeast.
  2. Stir in olive oil and warm water until a sticky dough forms. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise for 1 to 2 hours until doubled in size.
  3. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with olive oil. Transfer dough into the pan and stretch to fit edges. Let rest for another 30 minutes.
  4. In a small saucepan over low heat, warm olive oil and cook minced garlic until fragrant (do not brown). Set aside.
  5. Press dimples into the dough using fingers; drizzle garlic oil over the top, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, herbs if using, and flaky sea salt.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before slicing.
