  • 2 pounds boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 fresno pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a baking dish, combine chicken, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Arrange butter slices on top.
  3. Bake for 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
  4. In a sauce pot over low heat, melt butter. Stir in onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, chipotle chili powder, and fresno pepper.
  5. Remove from heat and whisk in honey and lime juice; add cilantro and season with salt.
  6. Serve the sauce over the chicken with steamed rice or naan.
