  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease your baking sheets.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and vegetable oil until well mixed. Add sour cream and mix again.
  4. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract; beat until smooth.
  5. Slowly combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  6. Use a cookie scoop to place rounded scoops of dough on the prepared baking sheets.
  7. Slightly flatten each cookie with the bottom of a glass.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for five minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. In a medium mixing bowl, cream together ½ cup butter, 3 tablespoons milk, and 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract.
  11. Gradually add 3 cups powdered sugar. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  12. Once cookies are completely cooled, frost them generously with buttercream frosting.
  13. Sprinkle each frosted cookie with coarse sugar and your choice of Easter-themed sprinkles.
