  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Easter M&Ms or candy-coated chocolate eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips and half of the Easter candies gently.
  6. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, pressing remaining candies on top for decoration.
  7. Bake for about 10–12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
