  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup mini Easter eggs (Cadbury or similar)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually fold in dry ingredients: flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Then add milk chocolate chips and mini eggs.
  5. Press the mixture into the prepared baking pan; optionally press extra mini eggs on top.
  6. Bake for 18-22 minutes until edges are lightly golden but center is still chewy.
  7. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
