Ingredients

  • 24 ladyfingers (about 7 oz)
  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee (cooled)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese (8 oz)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream (cold)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate shavings

Instructions

  1. Brew strong coffee and let it cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese and sugar until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whip cold heavy cream until soft peaks form; gently fold into the mascarpone mixture.
  4. Dip ladyfingers in cooled coffee briefly and layer them in a dish.
  5. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, sprinkle with cocoa powder, then repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining mascarpone.
  6. Chill for at least four hours or overnight before serving. Finish with cocoa powder and chocolate shavings.
