Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, sauté shrimp seasoned with Cajun spice for about 3 minutes until pink and opaque.
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth; simmer gently.
- Reduce heat to low, add the cooked fettuccine to the sauce, tossing until well-coated. If too thick, stir in reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
