- 110 g whole milk

- 50 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 20 g butter (for dough)
- 3 g dry yeast (or 9 g fresh yeast)
- 1 tablespoon orange marmalade
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 80 g butter (for layering)
- Egg wash (1 egg beaten with a tablespoon of cream or milk)
- Granulated sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
- Combine flour and yeast in a bowl. Mix in egg, milk, vanilla, and orange marmalade until a dough forms. Let rest for 10 minutes.
- Add sugar and salt; knead until well absorbed. Rest for another 10 minutes.
- Incorporate butter into the dough until smooth. Refrigerate for one hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter on top.
- Fold sections inward like an envelope and chill again for one hour.
- Roll out again into a rectangle; cut into triangles.
- Shape each triangle by rolling from the base to the tip and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar; let rise until doubled (about 30 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown.
