- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Instructions
- Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin strips and marinate with soy sauce, peanut oil, and cornstarch for 10 minutes.
- Prepare the sauce by mixing chicken stock, Shaoxing wine, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl.
- Steam the broccoli in a skillet with water until just tender, then set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook the marinated beef until browned on both sides. Add minced garlic and ginger to release their flavors.
- Return the broccoli to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and stir until thickened.
