  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 2 cups marinara sauce, plus extra for serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare your baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper until just mixed.
  3. Spread half of the meat mixture into the baking dish as the base layer.
  4. Layer with 1 cup mozzarella cheese, chopped spinach, and marinara sauce.
  5. Cover with the remaining meat mixture and seal the edges well.
  6. Top with additional marinara sauce and bake for 45–50 minutes until cooked through (internal temperature of 160°F).
  7. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top; return to oven for another 5–10 minutes until melted.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing; garnish with parsley and serve.
